Yo, did you know I’m going to be attending some conventions this April? Check out the info in the sidebar to your right–or for more details, check out this post at This Week in Webcomics.
I’m glad you stopped by to check out my comic. It’s about Jay Wilder, a guy kind of like you, who gets frustrated about his job, has awkward friendships, worries about his life, and sometimes plays video games. As with most comics, starting at the beginning is a pretty safe way to introduce yourself to the comic, but here are some strips that I believe you, as a Multiplex reader, will particularly enjoy.
Typically, the comic updates Fridays, though I try to get additional updates in as possible. Hopefully I can get something up for you guys in the next couple of days! Thanks for stopping by and checking out Borderline Boy.
Oh, and be sure to drop a comment. I love comments.
Today’s comic wraps up the D&D storyline, which (if you’re only just tuning in) begins with this strip. I’ve really enjoyed making this storyline and sharing it with you guys.
I’ve enjoyed it so much that I am going to keep doing comics regularly.
I will give you a bonus comic next Tuesday that is not a Borderline Boy comic. And then there will be a regularly Borderline Boy comic on Friday. After that, I will endeavor to do some more comics for you on a consistent basis, and it will be pretty cool.
Thanks for reading my comic, yo.
Today marks the start of a Borderline Boy storyline that has been in the works for over a year. It deals with a subject near and dear to my heart: pencil-and-paper role-playing games. I’ve been involved in a lot of RPGs, from Dungeons and Dragons to GURPS to a bunch of other systems that we never played in for more than a few sessions tops. In this storyline, I’ve hoped to capture something of what we all love about RPGs…as well as what drives us up a frigging wall.
Starting today–February 8th–there will be a new comic every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, up through the first week in March. If you’ve dropped in in the middle of the storyline, you can start reading it at the very beginning.
Hope you enjoy it.
Jay’s no stranger to this Monday morning routine: this is how he starts every day, five days a week. But I’ve been away from the usual workweek for over a year. I’ve been working part-time, freelancing, doing second shift and odd jobs as they present themselves. Today, though, I’m getting back to business.
It’s my first day on the job at National Liftgate Parts, and as you’re reading this, I’m already at work learning the ropes. If you’re the praying sort, please pray that I’d do well at my new position. I still have to figure out how I’m gonna keep involved with comics without totally burning out and crashing like I did last year. But if you wanna keep up with what I’m up to, This Week in Webcomics is a good place to start.
Also I have a Twitter.
Thanks, guys. See you on the internet.
