Agreed, Obie. With such a promising premise, it's really not a movie you should have to put your brain in neutral to enjoy, but c'est la vie.
Thanks also for the tip--I already knew about the timestamp trick, but stuff just caught up with me that day. Nonetheless, I do appreciate the tip. :)

re: Jumper - i thought that as long as you leave your brain in neutral, it's a decent bit of fun but the omnipresence theme was almost completely ignored and that was a shame

did you know that in wordpress, if you edit the timestamp (remembering to click the checkbox - something i constantly forget), you can post-date the post so that it appears at a certain time, on a certain date - i usually upload my comics between friday and sunday and set them up to appear monday.

I largely managed to enjoy Jumper because of the negative reviews I read before going to see it. I'd been highly anticipating it for months, but I gathered from the reviews that I shouldn't expect well-rounded characters or plot. Since I came prepared to ignore all that, the rest of the movie became fun, because the action scenes are top notch.

I think the director was trying to make Hayden Christensen's character look B.A., but he largely came off as a jerk. He threads this string of irresponsibility, lies, and outright selfish cruelty all through the movie, and I feel like at the end we're supposed to believe he's actually a good guy because he spares Roland. I didn't buy it.

I'm glad you're finding the comic enjoyable and relatable. Thanks for the compliments!

I also saw Jumper over the weekend, and I completely agree. While it was a perfectly good movie, it could have been so much better. The concept asked so many questions that the movie never addressed. I'm still vaguely troubled by it - the ethics of his lifestyle and all the money he has stolen, the lack of real personal consequences for his entirely frivolous use of power, etc. Even the basic conflict wasn't really explored as much as it could have been. On the whole, it was a fun movie, but it lacked the depth I was expecting from it.

Keep up the good work on the comic! I love it and can totally relate to Jay sometimes. Thanks for brightening the world.
